Welcome to District 201Q2 in North Queensland and Papua New Guinea. We currently have 68 Lions Clubs plus 5 branch clubs, 13 Lioness Clubs and 6 Leo Clubs working with the community throughout our large District.
This beautiful area covers the sugar fields of the Mackay region in the south, up north to Cooktown and Weipa and stretching out west to the Gulf and Mount Isa. It includes the large industrial and administrative centre of Townsville and the major tourist centres of Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, Airlie Beach, Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef.
Our District also include Papua New Guinea which boasts four Lions Clubs, in Tabubil, Port Moresby, Madang, and Lae which also has a Lioness Club, all making up this very large and diversified District.

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.
