Welcome to District 201Q2 in North Queensland and Papua New Guinea. We currently have 67 Lions Clubs, 12 Lioness Clubs and 4 Leo Clubs working with the community throughout our large District.

This beautiful area covers the sugar fields of the Mackay region in the south, up north to Cooktown and Weipa and stretching out west to the Gulf and Mount Isa. It includes the large industrial and administrative centre of Townsville and the major tourist centres of Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands, Airlie Beach, Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef. 

Our District also include Papua New Guinea which boasts four Lions Clubs, in Tabubil, Port Moresby, Wabag and Lae which also has a Lioness Club, all making up this very large and diversified District.

The District 201Q2 Lions Miss Popularity Quest has been a major  fundraiser of the Lions family since its commencement in 1989. It is estimated that since its inception, the Quest has raised approximately $2,000,000 – monies that have benefited many worthy charities in North Queensland
